DACHSER reinforces its position in the Rhine-Main region
In spring 2007, Karl Grillmayer Internationale Spedition Lebensmittellogistik GmbH & Co. KG transferred its distribution and warehousing business with existing customers to DACHSER.
The agreement covers warehouse logistics at the long-leased Grillmayer facility in Bad Vilbel near Frankfurt – 7,000 square metres of air-conditioned warehouse and transshipment area for Ferrero and Intersnack (Chio, Pom-Bear, funny-frisch) among others – and the distribution for numerous food forwarders in the catchment area, including renowned customers such as Unilever, Zott and Deutsche Sisi (Capri Sun).
The family-owned company Karl Grillmayer was founded in 1948 and is now in the third generation. The focus of business activities to date has been the distribution of food and beverages via its own modern vehicle fleet. The company will continue to fulfil this role of carrier, now on behalf of DACHSER.
