New DACHSER branch in Mouscron
At the end of September, DACHSER opened a third branch in Belgium, located in Mouscron. The town is situated on the French frontier, some 20 kilometres from Lille, and lies in the Belgian border region between Flemish-speaking Flanders and French-speaking Wallonia.
The new DACHSER branch has been built on a site covering 35,000 square metres. It provides a distribution area of 7,300 square metres, 71 gates, and 1,500 square metres of office space.
DACHSER has created a total of 150 jobs in Mouscron. The investment volume for the logistics centre was EUR 6.3 million.
In Mouscron, the logistics provider offers customers Europe-wide groupage transport services as well as partial and full loads. The branch’s main markets are Germany and France.
DACHSER has been represented in Belgium since 1974, and currently has 215 staff working there. Mouscron is the third branch to be opened by DACHSER in Belgium. The company has another overland branch in Willebroek and an air and sea freight office in Zaventem near Brussels.
