"I would like to secure sustainable and successful growth"
The aims of Dr Dieter Truxius, DACHSER’s new CFO
He has a doctorate in economics and is an expert on financial matters relating to family businesses. Since 1 January 2008, Dr Dieter Truxius has been one of DACHSER’s managing directors. The 55-year-old from Mettmann in the German state of North-Rhine Westphalia has assumed responsibility for the Finance, Legal & Tax department (known as FLT for short).
Before joining the international logistics provider, Dr Truxius spent 13 years with the Hanau-based family company Heraeus, where he acted as CFO from 1 January 2000 onwards.
Dr Truxius is particularly active in the fields of accounting and controlling for German family companies. He is a co-founder and board member of the “Association for the co-operation in the development of accounting principles for family-owned companies”, and also teaches controlling part-time at the University of Mannheim.
As CFO at DACHSER, he says, he would like to get things done: “It is my job to work alongside my colleagues in the company management to secure the financial conditions for sustainable and successful growth at DACHSER, the family-owned company, and to use the existing resources sparingly.”
