To Greece with DACHSER Food Logistics
Since last October, DACHSER Food Logistics has been operating a regular temperature-controlled groupage service to Greece. The new route gives European food manufacturers and exporters the opportunity to have their sensitive freight distributed via a once-weekly service in Greece in accordance with all the food safety and temperature requirements. A shipment from Hamburg to Athens takes four days, while consignments bound for Saloniki need six.
Distribution within Greece is handled by the partner company Goldair Cargo s.a., which has been operating in the Greek logistics market for over two decades and has been a tried-and-tested partner of DACHSER European Logistics for many years. The philosophy of the company’s founder, Dimitris Golemis – “Think progressively, act innovatively, work hard” – remains central to the company’s ethos to this day, and has helped to make Goldair one of Greece’s biggest transport companies.
