DACHSER Shanghai ships an entire cement works
At the beginning of March, DACHSER Shanghai handled a very special load. The international logistics company shipped an entire cement works from Nantong in eastern China to Poti in Georgia, a port on the Black Sea. The cargo comprised 10,000 cubic metres and weighed a total of approx. 3,500 tonnes.
Some 1,780 individual parts had to be loaded, including a 13-metre raw mill weighing no less than approx. 108 tonnes. Throughout the loading process, the work was carefully supervised by staff from DACHSER Shanghai. Nils Franke, Business Development Manager at DACHSER in Shanghai, comments: “We can be proud and satisfied at the professional and efficient way the transport process was handled. And we look forward to carrying out similar projects to and from China in future, in support of our global network.”
