From the warehouse near Budapest, the products of ZOTT are being distributed to Hungarian retailers.

Zott to storm the market in Hungary?

At the beginning of July, Liegl & DACHSER moved to new premises near Budapest. The move also heralded the starting signal for contract logistics services offered by DACHSER Hungary’s food sector.

1,200 pallets with 42 articles – this is the volume DACHSER stores and picks in Hungary for ZOTT, a dairy product manufacturer for whom DACHSER is also active in Germany. Since 1 July, every day 200 pallets of rice pudding, yoghurt, cheese and other dairy products coast along Hungary’s roads within 24 hours to Hungarian retailers such as TESCO, AUCHAN and PLUS.

In the warehouse, DACHSER applies its MIKADO Warehouse Management System which enables it to both meet ZOTT’s requirements and consistently follow the FEFO principle (first expired first out). Via SAP, the logistics provider uses EDI to exchange order-related data.

From day one, DACHSER implemented the high technical and quality standards from Germany at its new location. Certification in accordance with IFS Logistic and DIN ISO 9001 is planned for 2008.
