ATLAS made easy
DACHSER makes getting to grips with the new regulations for electronic customs declarations child’s play.
The deadline for switching over to electronic customs clearance has been fixed. From 1 July 2009, all companies must submit their export notifications electronically. The reason for this are new implementing provisions of the Customs Code, a European Community customs regulation, which aim to automate and streamline the present export procedure. The ATLAS procedure (Automatisiertes Tarif- und Lokales Zoll-Abwicklungs-System – Automated Tariff and Local Customs Clearance System) will completely replace paper-based goods export declarations.
DACHSER would like to smooth the way for its customers’ switchover to the automated export system at this early stage and proposes organizing participation in ATLAS for you. The logistics provider is pleased to inform and advise customers on logistics and procedural aspects. It examines and optimizes existing authorizations or offers support in applying for new licenses.
Customs offices already give preference to clearing ATLAS declarations. By obtaining the right authorizations, you can cut through customs red tape.
Taking advantage of the possibilities offered by DACHSER’s customs clearance system right away can save time and the high costs for software products. Staff no longer need to learn new implementing provisions or receive training in customs procedures.
Your contact at DACHSER will be pleased to give you more details.
