Fast, reliable and efficient – entargo in Portugal
Additional platforms and more departures improve shipment times to Portugal. They underscore the efficiency of the entargo product family.
Portugal has been integrated into DACHSER’s entargo family since 2004. The targofix, targospeed and targoflex products ensure that consignments are delivered product-specifically in line with customer requirements.
The central platform for this is the DACHSER branch in Überherrn. Thanks to internal freight service optimization processes, circular transport services starting out from Überherrn now directly serve all Portuguese locations – Lisbon, Oporto and Coimbra – several times a week. Thus there are four time-phased departures from Überherrn to Oporto and Coimbra and five time-phased departures to Lisbon. From Lisbon, consignments reach Überherrn five times a week; from Oporto Überherrn is served twice a week. Coimbra delivers consignments to Überherrn once a week.
Two additional platforms have also been set up offering circular transport services to Oporto and back. The Bad Salzuflen and Cologne branches consolidate their co-loader consignments and offer three weekly combined departures to Oporto. From the DACHSER locations in Hof and Langenau, co-loader consignments are dispatched to Oporto three times a week in combined circular transport services. From Lisbon, Oporto and Coimbra, the consignments are delivered to consignees throughout Portugal within 24 hours. Freight services to and from Portugal as well as countrywide thus operate fast, reliably and efficiently.
Portugal is one of 15 entargo countries in Europe. DACHSER customers in Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, Slovakia, Spain, the Czech Republic and Hungary also benefit from the uniform service standards of the entargo product family. Via the Product Pilot eLogistics application, customers can select the entargo product of their choice online. Proactive shipment monitoring is performed using a Supply Chain Event Management system. Customers can track their consignment at any time via the Shipment Control and Shipment Pointer eLogistics functions.
