From Styria in Austria, precision electronic components destined for exceptional construction projects find their way into the big, wide world. The manufacturing company EBG draws on DACHSER’s Air & Sea Logistics competence to make this possible.
Kirchbach in Styria, south-east Austria, has only 1,600 inhabitants. Nevertheless for DACHSER Austria Air & Sea, it has been gaining in importance for a number of years. From here, the logistics provider transports electronic components into the big, wide world for EBG Resistors Elektronische Bauelemente Ges.mbH. The parts are built into locomotives, ships’ turbines, space research laboratories or the Three Gorges Dam in China, one of the biggest dams in the world.
The company has an export quota of 98%. Especially in target markets like China or eastern Europe, there is a high demand for the expertise of an international logistics provider. This is where DACHSER scores with its intercontinental connections to global distribution markets. “DACHSER Austria Air & Sea has on the one hand become one of our most important partners in the handling of our export activities and at the same time opens up the gateway to the world for us in the small town of Kirchbach,” says Gerhard Klauser, managing director of EBG. The company, which received the Styria export award in 2007, has relied on the services of the efficient logistics provider since DACHSER Austria Air & Sea was founded.
