DACHSER opens Air & Sea Logistics branch in Basle
DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics has expanded its activities in Switzerland with a new branch office near Basle. The new location is also the site of the country’s only inland port, linking Switzerland to the North Sea via the River Rhine.
“The forwarding market in Basle is strongly geared towards sea freight, an area of operations that has become increasingly important for us over the past few years,” says Peter Güttinger, general manager of DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics in Switzerland. He adds: “The expansion is a significant step for us; Basle is home to most of the major shipping agencies and harbours considerable customer potential.”
