DACHSER achieves above-average performance in meeting the IFS criteria.

IFS Logistic – DACHSER successfully re-certified

At the end of July 2008, the audits began for the first re-certification of DACHSER Food Logistics in compliance with the International Food Standard Logistic (IFS Logistic) – with outstanding results.

On 30 July, the auditors from LACON, an institute from Offenburg specializing in the certification of organically produced foodstuffs, inspected the operative departments of the Langenau branch. At the end of the day, lead auditor Dr Meurer certified DACHSER’s above-average performance in meeting the requirement criteria.

This marked the start of a three-week audit marathon. As in Langenau, the LACON specialists analyzed and evaluated food safety, legality and quality aspects in various supply chain processes at 20 other DACHSER Food Logistics locations. The results were positive across the board. Each of the 21 branches so far audited was issued the certificate at the “highest level”. The average compliance level was 97.64%.

The four remaining national branches will be audited in the late autumn.
