DACHSER Nuremberg logistics centre at a new location
On 29.12.08 the DACHSER Nuremberg logistics centre moved to its new location in Thomas-Dachser-Straße 4. The 105,000-square-metre site on the Nürnberg-Feucht-Wendelstein industrial estate is now home to one of the biggest logistics centres in northern Bavaria.
As well as a 9,750-square-metre transshipment hall for industrial goods and a 6,000-square-metre temperature-controlled transshipment hall for foodstuffs, the four high-shelf warehouses are also new. They can be controlled at different temperatures and provide space for over 33,600 pallets. Administrative and technical buildings occupy approximately 5,250 square metres. The branch has over 188 hall bays. The new site is geared towards growth, creating 60 new jobs in the field of contract logistics in addition to the 500 jobs already provided.
The new operating site is situated at the intersection of the A 3, A 6, A 9 and A 73 motorways and therefore ensures short routes to customers as well as a smooth and fast flow of goods.
