DACHSER forms joint venture in Chile
With the new joint venture in Chile, DACHSER’s Air & Sea Logistics business segment is continuing to expand its network in Latin America.
In January, Dachser established a 50:50 joint venture in Chile with Gesto-Log, a merger with the renowned local freight carrier Logística Industrial S.A. and the experienced logistician Rolf Gremler. The company will be called “Dachser Chile S.A.”. The aim of the joint venture is to establish DACHSER’s air and sea freight activities in the highly developed South and Latin American market. The company will focus on developing import and export business with the US, Europe and Latin America. The company has its head office in Santiago de Chile.
“Chile offers ideal economic conditions, is globally networked and is investing massively in its transport infrastructure. Our intercontinental services will allow us to offer customers attractive logistics solutions in and for Latin America,” says Thomas Reuter, managing director of DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics.
DACHSER Chile S.A. is managed by Rolf Gremler, Dario Poblete and Martin Reichner.
